GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
RESERVATIONS
We will not accept any responsibility for errors arising from telephone requests. Cancellations or booking amendments must also be notified in writing.CARAVAN HOLIDAY HOMES
A deposit of £100 per week is required when booking caravan holiday homes. This deposit is non-returnable. No reminder will be sent for the balance or rent which is payable 42 days in advance of your arrival. To avoid any disappointment, please ensure your balance has reached us by the given time, or the caravan will be re-let. New arrivals must report to reception. Pets are only permitted in specific static caravans and when registered in advance. Please check the inventory and the caravan on arrival and report any deficiencies within 24 hours. Damage and breakage to units or equipment must be reported and paid for before departure.Hired Holiday Home Keys will be available after 3.00pm . If arriving after 5.00pm please notify reception to arrange key collection. The period of your stay is after 3.00pm on the day of arrival to 10.00am on the day of departure.
TOURING PITCHES
A deposit of £20 per pitch is required for a touring caravan, tent, motor home, or caravanette per week plus a £2.00 advanced booking fee. This deposit is non-returnable. The balance is payable 42 days in advance of your arrival for which there will be no reminder. New arrivals must report to reception. The period of your stay is from 12 noon on the day of arrival to 10am on the day of departure. For the comfort of all our customers no arrivals are permitted after 10.00pm. To comply with health and safety regulations you must pitch according to the instructions given to you on arrival. If you pitch incorrectly you will be instructed to move. A six metre gap must be maintained between touring units for fire safety. The maximum dimension for your accommodation (tourer excluding towbar, tent etc) is 23 ft (7m) x 14 ft (4.5m). Specific pitches may be booked on request, subject to availability, however the management reserve the right to amend pitch allocations for operational reasons.Our standard pitch price covers up to 6 people staying with :
a) caravan, awning and car or
b) motorhome and awning or
c) tent and car. We charge extra for boats, dogs, and additional two man tents, extra people and cars.
For safety reasons there are restrictions on the number of tents and other objects permitted on individual pitches. Please contact Reception if you have any queries.
NOTICE OF CANCELLATION
This must be made in writing at least 28 days before your holiday date, otherwise the balance outstanding will be payable by you and you will forfeit all of your deposit. We regret that in the event of leaving early for any reason, no refunds will be given. Charges apply for booking cancellation prior to commencing your holiday. These are dependent on the number of days notification you provide before your holiday was due to commence.Notification of 56 days or more – the charge is 10% of the total holiday
cost, 42 to 55 days – 30% of total holiday cost, 28 to 41 days - 50%
of total holiday cost, 27 days or less 100% of total holiday cost.
Freshwater reserves the right to cancel your booking if there is a gross administrative error (such as undercharging by more than 5%) or for operational reasons which make the booking untenable (e.g. damage to accommodation etc). Should Freshwater cancel your booking prior to your arrival, you will be given a full refund.
PETS
Dogs are welcome, but please keep them on a lead and under control at all times.Please see charges for dogs in the touring prices. Any dog found loose on the park will be treated as a stray. We regret no dogs are allowed in the shop, entertainment complex, swimming pool area, shower/toilet blocks or caravan holiday homes (except caravans designated for pet use). You must clean up after your pet. A complimentary dog scoop is provided on arrival. Owners who allow their pets to foul the grounds will be asked to leave the park. Dogs must not be left unattended at any time, day or night.
LICENSED CLUB AND ENTERTAINMENT COMPLEX
Admittance to the club is by membership card only. You will be provided with membership cards on arrival. Please carry them with you at all times.All facilities are open and entertainment is provided between Spring Bank Holiday and mid-September. Outside this period facilities and opening times are reduced.
The Management reserve the right to suspend or change the entertainment and programme times and facilities such as the swimming pools without prior notice. Children must be accompanied by an adult in the Entertainment Complex.
SWIMMING POOLS
Admittance to the swimming pools is by membership card only.The swimming pools must not be used outside the opening hours or when a lifeguard is not in attendance. All children under the age of 12 years must be accompanied by an adult in the swimming pool area. Open from Spring Bank Holiday until mid September, and at other times according to demand. Please check with Reception for more details.
GENERAL
Traffic movements are restricted after 11pm to minimise disturbance in the touring and caravan areas. The speed limit is 10mph and is strictly enforced. We do not permit the use of any non road legal motorised vehicles e.g. mini scooters, quad bikes etc. All vehicles on park must be taxed, insured and have passed the MOT regulations.The playground equipment is for children of 12 years and under and is closed between 9.00pm and 9.00am for the comfort of all customers.
The following are not permitted:
- All male/female groups or unaccompanied teenagers
- Clothes lines
- Ball games in the touring field
- Skateboarding
Customers’ visitors are not permitted to use the swimming pool or entertainment complex.
For everyone's comfort and convenience customers are requested to return to their accommodation by 1.30am.
We reserve the right to close facilities without prior notice for operational reasons or due to lack of demand.
BYE LAWS
With the constant improvements on the Park, some of the brochure/price list text and photographs may become out of date or inaccurate. All prices include the current rate of VAT. The Company cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage or accident to any persons or private property, however caused, whilst staying on the Park or using the facilities or amenities.The Park is a family park and therefore the co-operation of visitors will be expected in that they will not do, or allow to be done, anything which in the opinion of the management is detrimental to the enjoyment or comfort of other people staying on the park. Anyone not complying with this will be required to leave and no refund will be given.
EXCLUSIONS
a) Freshwater Beach Holiday Park shall not be liable for any loss of, or loss or damage to any property including motor vehicles and motor cycles or the like, however caused whether resulting from or caused by negligence, wilful act, omission or otherwise of Freshwater Beach Holiday Park, or individual Companies operating on the Holiday Park, their servants, agents or concessionaires, or of guests, residents, occupiers or invitees.b) Neither Freshwater Beach Holiday Park nor any individual Company operating on the Holiday Park nor any subsidiary or associated Company thereof shall be liable for any death, injury, loss or damage, directly or indirectly sustained by or occasioned to any person (including persons under the age of 18 years) save in so far as such death or injury results from the negligence of the said Freshwater Beach Holiday Park or the individual Company operating on the Holiday Park or any associated or subsidiary Company thereof as defined in the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.
The Management reserve the right to refuse admission or remove any person or persons causing unnecessary nuisance or noise without refund or prior notice.
THE BEACH AT FRESHWATER SHELVES STEEPLY AND AT ANY STATE OF THE TIDE THERE MAY BE STRONG CURRENTS AND UNDERTOW. CAUTION IS ADVISED AND CHILDREN IN PARTICULAR SHOULD BE CLOSELY SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES.
ENJOY OUR NATURAL ENVIRONMENT SAFELY
Please take care when in the countryside and always supervise your children. We want you to have a fun and safe holiday at Freshwater. Cliffs - don't go too near the edge; don't walk or sit right at the base of the cliffs because of potential rock falls. Sea, River, and Swimming Pool - always supervise your children when they are in or near water including the swimming pool; be aware that the beach shelves steeply; don't swim or paddle when the sea is rough; there is no lifeguard service on the beach. Uneven surfaces and potholes - these are a feature of the countryside; be careful not to trip or slip on rough ground especially where animals have been burrowing.
BOOK IN ADVANCE
Bookings may be made in advance - this is recommended during Peak Season.
